Stretching should also be part of your exercise session. Stretching exercises should always feel good, you should gently ease into it and stop once you feel you are at your limit. This will make you feel more flexible and supple while protecting your joints and muscles against injury. It will also lengthen your muscles, resulting in a sleeker look to your body. Other benefits include easing aches and pains of joints, helping you reach, bend, twist and preventing muscle soreness after exercising.

Stretching is an essential part of your warm up preparation prior to muscle toning or fat burning exercises. These exercises will involve periods of cardiovascular exercise using most of the major muscle groups in your body. During a low intensity cardio workout your body will be able to burn more calories. The ultimate fat burner exercises should include walking, jogging, running, swimming or exercises on gym equipment.
